Subscriber record: 1000 at CT2 Facebook page and 100 at the CT2 YouTube channel

CrypTool 2General News

The CrypTool 2 (CT2) project is active on several social media platforms.

On the one hand, there has been the Facebook page for several years, which reached 1000 subscribers this weekend. On the other hand, there is our YouTube channel since October, which has reached more than 100 subscribers in parallel.

On the official YouTube channel of the CT2 project, every week a new English video is released – about classic and modern cryptography and cryptanalysis – of course always with examples from CT2. So there are already three playlists on the channel: The "Developer Series", "Classic Ciphers", and "Basics of Cryptology". The first series was created especially for aspiring CT2 developers. It shows how to develop your own CT2 components. Within the 2nd series, various classic ciphers, from the Caesar cipher to the Enigma machine, are presented in detail. In the "Basics of Cryptology" series, cryptography and cryptanalysis, from classic to modern, are discussed.

On the Facebook page we present the latest videos of the YouTube platform. Also news about new CT2 release versions or new components of CT2 are also shown here.

We would now like to take this opportunity to thank all subscribers, but also all CT2 users in general. Their feedback always helps us to improve CT2. We also want to motivate all non-subscribers to support us with a subscription, both on Facebook and on YouTube. We would also appreciate feedback on CT2, but of course also on the other CrypTool projects.
