Scholar Crypto 2015 in Kassel and Hanau

Scholar Crypto

On April 20, 2015, the third Scholar Crypto took place at the University of Kassel with over 80 participants. Like last year, this Scholar Crypto is a cooperation project between the Department 16 Electrical Engineering/Computer Science of the University of Kassel and the Schülerforschungszentrum Nordhessen (SFN). At the Scholar Crypto, students and teachers of the upper school can learn the science of secret language (cryptology) and try it out for themselves. More information about this Scholar Crypto can be found in the flyer. On the website of the Department of Applied Information Security of the University of Kassel there are some impressions and in the HNA of 2015-04-22 a short article about it.

Furthermore, the entire lecture of this event is freely available on YouTube.

The Scholar Crypto is also gaining popularity outside of Kassel and was carried out for the first time this year on 2015-04-22 at the Karl-Rehbein-School. 60 students from the upper classes participated. Originally, the Karl-Rehbein-School registered with the 60 participants at the event in Kassel.

However, in order to save the students and teachers from Hanau the journey to Kassel, we have decided that from this year on, an additional Scholar Crypto event will be offered directly at the Karl-Rehbein-School. On the school's website there is a overview and in the Bruchköbeler Kurier of 2015-05-07 a short article about it.

In addition, on 2015-04-23 at the University of Kassel, a shortened version of the Scholar Crypto took place as part of the Girls'Day's.
